Requirements for Application

All student applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A resident of Huron County
• Intending to return to full time studies in a healthcare related area of study in September 2012
• Can demonstrate their interest in a healthcare related career
• Meet the candidate qualifications as requested by the employer

Only candidates who meet these criteria will be hired by employers and only those candidates selected for interviews by the employer will be contacted. Thank you for your interest in these placements.

Student Expectations:

• Both employer and student will be required to attend an initial orientation session and a final group wrap-up session (in July) that will offer the opportunity for students and employers who participated in the program to share their experiences.
• During placement, students will be required to complete at least one questionnaire that will relate to evaluation of the placement and performance.  Employers are encouraged to share progress and performance information with students throughout the placement period.
• Employers and students will be requested for pictures and testimonial statements to be used with their permission on promotion and information related materials such as flyers, newsletters, websites, etc.

Student Application Process

Step 1	Download and complete a separate application form in MS Word format for each job posting for which you apply. Return completed form to healthkick@smallbusinesshuron.ca. Follow instructions on the application. HealthKick will forward eligible job applications to the employers.
Step 2	Employers will select and contact students they wish to invite for interviews.  Employers are responsible for notifying students of the outcome of interviews.
Step 3	Students will respond to employer’s invitations in a timely manner even if they are no longer interested or are not available for the position(s).
Step 4	Successful students who are offered positions may meet with the HealthKick staff person along with your employer/supervisor to review the job plan.
